Metal stairs

Metal stairs for indoor and outdoor use — with wooden, glass or stone treads, tailored to every demand for aesthetics and material choice.

Metal stairs for indoor and outdoor use. Metal stairs with wooden treads, steel stairs with glass treads or stone treads — they meet every demand for aesthetics and material choice.

Metal stairs combined with stone treads

A functional metal staircase for indoor and outdoor use — purely in metal or combined with glass, stone or wooden treads — increases comfort and allows for countless design variations, tuned to the character of the room or building. Safe stairs that harmonise with their surroundings and match the interior enhance outdoor areas and living zones in particular.

Metal stairs outdoors

Metal stairs are particularly well suited to outdoor use thanks to their robustness against moisture, snow and sun. Metal stairs are appropriate for older buildings as well as new builds. Stability and durability are among their most important advantages, alongside flexibility and low maintenance.

It’s the choice of tread material that really makes the difference — for example for industrial outdoor metal stairs with steel-grating treads, which also act as a dirt barrier. Wall-mounted railings provide the necessary grip while looking reduced and functional.

Metal stairs indoors

For indoor metal stairs we use metals such as galvanised steel and aluminium, as well as stairs with steel stringers and natural-stone treads or with wood cladding. The steel handrail — often chrome-plated — provides safety and a good grip. Steel stairs behind a fire door are subject to strict regulations, which we follow in our staircase construction.

Steel stairs in stairwells and living areas have to meet the most important functions. We use helical or spiral stairs in steel where indoor space is limited. With tread dampening, we deliver and install spiral stairs at the desired location — at home or in business premises — with lighting if requested.

Applications of a metal staircase

Indoors, metal stairs are now indispensable. There are no limits to the staircase shapes. Alongside spiral stairs, combinations of steel and wood or steel and glass make every designer’s heart beat faster. With effective impact-sound protection indoors, every steel staircase scores extra points. Colour differences — through material choice or coating — are possible.

Outdoors, a metal staircase makes it easy to overcome height differences. There are many variations in size and type. Metal stairs in particularly beautiful, value-stable materials are popular indoors. Because both clients and architects love metal as a material, metal stairs are often used in renovations of older buildings.
