We are the metal construction company Fischer Metallbau AG in Zurich Rüschlikon. We offer metal construction planning, consulting and production with a team of specialists. As metalworkers and locksmiths, we have been producing for the Zurich region for many years as part of the metal construction industry.
We build everything in metal, aluminium and steel. As a metal construction company we set wide-ranging demands on the form and function of every individual structure. Every component has to meet comprehensive functional and architectural requirements.
The story of Fischer Metallbau
It began as a locksmith’s workshop
The first chapter of our 75-year-plus history was written by Gottlieb Fischer, who founded a locksmith’s workshop in Thalwil in 1946. Over the years, the workshop grew into today’s “Fischer Metallbau AG”.
In 1986, Peter Fischer and Bernhard Fischer took over the business as the second generation and built it steadily into a successful metal construction company with 20 employees.
The Zurich company in Rüschlikon
Today Martin Fischer runs the metal construction firm in Rüschlikon, Zurich as the third generation, together with Bernhard Fischer. Martin Fischer brings fresh impetus to the growing metal construction business.

Production in the workshop
Our metalworkers process metals such as steel, aluminium, glass, bronze and brass. In our workshop, employees work with drilling machines, lathes and welding equipment at modern metalwork stations. For surface treatment, we rely on long-standing partnerships with carefully selected, qualified suppliers.
